Engaging science, creating sustainable cities

Teacher Training 10th Dec 2019

Urban Science teacher training will be takng place in the 10th December at Thomas Estley Community College.

We will explore approaches to carry out simple biodiversity surveys, explore UV light, and insulation. You will get hands-on practice with each of these, as well as a set of equipment and schemes of work to use back at your school.

This training session is made possible through the Urban Science project which is creating a suite of ten learning modules to deliver practical science linked to sustainable cities and climate change. The Urban Science learning modules offer teaching across the GCSE range and integrate with curriculum targets.

This includes support for a number of GCSE ‘Required Practicals’-for example ‘Biodiversity’ and ‘Insulation’.

Refeshments will be provided.
