Introduction - climate change
This lesson provides an introduction to climate change, and provides basic understanding to prepare students for the Urban Science modules. The module is accompanied by a presentation which can be found by clicking 'Read more'.
In the lesson students clarify their key ‘basic’ knowledge and terminology. For example, what does the term ‘sustainability’ mean? What is the greenhouse effect? These ideas are explored in more depth by analysing a graphical presentation by Bloomberg which checks the evience for climate change against reasons presented by skeptics.
The lesson ends with learning more about each other through sharing personal experiences, knowledge and feelings concerning climate change through a ‘climate change people search’.
